It appeared to possess every feature I was looking for. The description basically sounded like the answer to the 'want ad' I would have written. After receiving this product as a gift, I looked forward to giving it a try. Wasting no time, I opted to start with a carrot-apple juice. I was pleased with the power and efficiency. Everything seemed to meet my expectations and I was content. When I began the clean-up process (it's a messy business juicing your own veggies and fruits) everything changed. The removable pieces clean up nicely. However, the internal screen basket that collects the pulp and allows the juice to pass through, as well as the containing housing are *extremely* difficult to clean. I elected to unscrew the basket and blade assembly to wash them. Even after thoroughly but gently scrubbing them, the basket held onto several carrot scraps. I would not recommend this product for anyone who intends to use it... We used this every single day now for three weeks and used just about every kind of fruit and veggie and it works great. NONE of the units are really easy to clean but this one is easier than most. Tip: use a toothbrush on the metal extractor. |
